Privacy policy

Effective 28 October 2026

This policy explains what MotionForge (the Mac app, this website and the MotionForge account service) collects, why, and what you can do about it. MotionForge is run by Karthik Varma in India. Questions: karthikvarmaedu@gmail.com.

Your projects stay on your Mac

Projects, imported media, audio and exported videos are stored only on your computer. MotionForge does not upload them, scan them or send them anywhere. You can use every editing feature without an account.

What we collect when you sign in

We do not collect your card, bank or UPI details: payments are taken by Razorpay on its own pages, and we only receive whether a payment succeeded and its reference numbers. MotionForge has no advertising, analytics or tracking, and this website sets no cookies.

How we use it

We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Google user data

MotionForge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only your basic profile and email address (the openid, email and profile scopes) and use them only for signing in.

Who processes it

How long we keep it

Account and subscription data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove it, except payment records we must keep for tax and accounting law.

Your choices and rights

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Account records are readable only by you and by MotionForge administrators; payment secrets never leave our servers.

Children

MotionForge accounts are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
